Since I find it best to live my experience fully and actively, I expect to add more posts beyond my time here, providing many more of my most valuable experiences and reflections.
Hello my english speaking friends. Sorry to keep bothering you about this. But I really feel like I HAVE to do something to help this cause for change, something bigger than my selfish worries and simple life. I don’t want this to be just another 15 minute trend on the internet. If you’d like to know more, here’s a good article for you to read. It’s not very long:
We need talk about Brazil. It’s not about 20 cents.
Pessoas de várias partes do mundo estão nos apoiando agora. Londres, Austrália, Buenos Aires, Nova York, Lisboa… Não há mais como calar o povo porque somos os filhos da revolução.
Vem pra rua porque a rua é maior arquibancada do Brasil.
It got momentarily violent and out of hand in Rio de Janeiro. I haven’t verified if this happened in other cities. These violent actions were caused by a few and not supported by the majority since they want to peacefully improve the country, not destroy it.
Protesters at Brazilian National Congress - June, 2013.
Hundreds of people in chorus:
“Our act was victorious, but the movement has just started.
We are part of a national struggle, a worldwide struggle.
We can’t stop now. (…) Let’s continue the movement, because our struggle is much bigger than this.
We’ll only stop when we bring ONE MILLION, TWO MILLION, THREE MILLION, TWENTY MILLION HERE TO TELL THEM THAT ISN’T RIGHT WHAT THEY DO WITH OUR MONEY, OUR HEALTH CARE, OUR EDUCATION! TOMORROW IT’S GOING TO BE BIGGER!”
